Public Meetings


Three public meetings were conducted at key points throughout the Hill AFB CUP development. A summary of each meeting is provided below.

MEETING #1

Project Initiation

Held virtual on October 20, 2020 followed by an online open house from October 21 – November 4.

The first public meeting introduced the CUP planning process, the purpose of the CUP, and value of participation, and provided an overview of the military operations at Hill AFB.

MEETING #2

INTERIM FINDINGS AND PRELIMINARY RECOMMENDATIONS

Held virtually on March 31, 2021

The focus of the second meeting was to present the compatibility issues and provide an opportunity for public input on preliminary issues and potential recommendations to address them.

MEETING #3

FINAL RECOMMENDATIONS

Held virtually on December 7, 2021

The third public meeting presented the Public Draft CUP document and recommendations to the public for review and comment in conjunction with the public review period.     


1ST PUBLIC MEETING AND OPEN HOUSE HELD

Thank you to all who participated in the first public meeting which was held virtually on Zoom on October 20th, and the online open house, which was available online from October 21 – November 4, for the Hill AFB Compatible Use Plan. During the meeting and open house, participants were provided an overview of the Compatible Use Plan, how it is being developed, the stakeholders involved and opportunities for ongoing participation in the project. Participants were also provided with information about the missions at Hill AFB, the Utah Test and Training Range and Little Mountain Test Facility.

2ND PUBLIC MEETING HELD

Thank you to all who participated in the second public meeting for the Hill AFB Compatible Use Plan, which was held virtually on Zoom on March 31st. During the meeting, participants were provided a summary of the compatibility issues that have been identified during the CUP process. Participants were directed to this project website to take a questionnaire to identify how important these issues are to them.

3RD PUBLIC MEETING HELD

Thank you to all who participated in the third public meeting for the Hill AFB Compatible Use Plan, which was held virtually on Zoom on December 7, 2021. This meeting was held in conjunction with the public review period for the Public Draft CUP. During the meeting, Matrix presented an update of the project, an overview of the public draft review period, an overview of the compatibility issues and strategies, next steps for the project, and facilitated a question-and-answer session.
